CLOUD UP

NXT UPBeta

Everyone knows what’s next.

NXT UP is the family command center: today’s chores and plans on one board, points the kids actually want to earn, shopping lists everyone adds to — and a kid mode that turns any tablet into a family screen.

  • A lane for every person
  • Points & rewards
  • PIN-protected kid mode

NXT UP is in beta, on paid plans, and uses your NXT CLOUD account — no separate sign-up.

One board, all day

The whole day, for the whole family

NXT UP answers the questions that fill the family group chat: who’s doing what, where everyone needs to be, and what we’re out of.

  1. 07:00Morning

    One look at the board

Events and timed chores in order, with a bold “now” line — so nobody asks “what’s happening today?” at breakfast.

  2. 16:00Afternoon

    Tick it off

Kids tap the big circle when a chore is done. Chores that need checking wait for one tap from a parent.

  3. 19:30Evening

    Points add up

Approved chores add points to each person’s balance — towards rewards and savings goals you agreed together.

Chores & rewards

Fair turns. Real rewards.

Recurring chores with rotations — so the dishwasher really is someone else’s turn — and a rewards shelf that shows exactly how close each child is.

  • Every day, weekdays or monthly

One-off or recurring chores with a due time and an optional reminder.

  • Take turns automatically

Rotate a chore between two or more people, one occurrence each.

  • A grown-up approves

Mark chores that need checking; points are added only once a parent says yes.

  • Savings goals

“New bike: 135 of 300 points” — progress kids can see in their own lane.

Lists & calendar

Shopping, plans and the family calendar

Shared lists anyone can add to, a calendar with everyone’s initials on it, and a private feed for the calendar app you already use.

Pinned

Swim kit in the wash on Thursdays

Leave it by the back door after your lesson so it’s dry for Saturday.

Pinned announcements sit at the top of everyone’s Today board.

Kid mode

A family screen they can’t break

Turn on kid mode and the tablet on the kitchen counter shows only the kids’ board: giant tap targets, their points, the rewards shelf and the shopping list. Everything else is locked until a parent enters the PIN.

  • Leaving kid mode needs the parent PIN — five wrong tries lock it for 15 minutes.
  • Kid mode is enforced by the sign-in itself: no other product, setting or account page opens.
  • Chores ticked in kid mode always wait for a parent before points are added.
  • Children don’t get accounts: a first name and an optional birth year — nothing else.
